okay uh small summary of things that have happened this week if i can think of anything

1. Donald Trump is running for president and wants to build a wall?????

4. we're teaching a 90 year old: his whole family are members and go to church and have callings in the stake and everything and he is the only one that isnt baptized but he told us that he has changed his mind and wants to find out more about the church and our first lesson he asked us 'how long does learnign all this take? because i want to get baptized, that's why i invited you guys in here' so.... that. And then we invited him to go to church and HE WENT TO CHURCH and all of his family were crying and stuff because they always invite him to church but he never went and never wanted to but he went and wants to get baptized and it was so beautiful and everything and also it was the primary program so it was even better

5. also *Fredo quit smoking! we thought that he had already quit... but he told us no... but his quit on Friday and so he will finally get baptized on the 29th!

8. i bought a chilean fanny pack because i'm really cool

9. somebody almost ran me over but dont worry i am okay

10. everybody thinks im german and they try to talk to me in german and i dont speak german

seriously so happy and excited for him

oh yeah campanas are bells

that was  like a Christmas song/wedding joke

i heard the bells

but it's like

i heard the bells on the 21 of november because that's the day  my brother is going to get married

also i should mention that we are singing that song for a Christmas concert that we always do at Christmas (i said that like i've been here for 40 christmases but i just was saying it like people always say that we always have done it so i'm just going with what they say) 

but anyway

ah yes i have forgotten to mention that i use my singing skills a LOT here in the mission; a few people asked me if i had been singing

do not worry

i sing like every sunday for everybody and basically everyday for everybody do not worry my vocal chords are still working

but everybody here always sings really low so i'm going to be a bass when i get back

but anyway

i forgot what i was talking about

oh yeah the choir

it's super fun LOVE TO SING

and what else

well, *Fredo didn't get baptized this sunday BUT HE IS GETTING BAPTIZED THE NEXT SUNDAY we couldnt get the baptismal interview worked out in time and we still need to explain some of his questions but he'll get baptized this upcoming sunday, no worries, it'll happen :) 

but anyway

also one of our other investigators died this week... we showed up to visit her and they were having a viewing in her house and it was kind of crazy and they asked us to sing her favorite hymns that we always sang so we sang Count Your Blessings but it didnt quite go with the atmosphere

so we also sang all the other songs that youre supposed to sing at funerals

and it was all just really crazy and we still dont really believe that it actually happened because it was ALL SO CRAZY 

but annyway

BIENVENIDA A LA MISIÓN [WELCOME TO THE MISSION]

what else am i missing

we went to the temple with *Fredo and *Sam (one of the recent converts in our ward) on Friday and it was SO GREAT they both loved it a lot and some of the temple workers shook their hands and told them to come back and it just all was so beautiful and great

and... hmm... what else... 

I myself, like my mother, have been thinking this week about the timing of everything and that i am so glad that my friend called me when she did to invite me to go to church and that all my family was able to come back too and that my brothers before me could go on missions and me now and how crazy and amazing and happy all of it is and it just makes me so happy EVERYTHING I LOVE THE GOSPEL SO MUCH I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT AND I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY AND I LOVE EVERYTHING

I JUST LOVE IT

I JUST HAVE A LOT OF LOVE IN MY HEART

I love Jesus Christ, i love modern day revelation, i love the plan of salvation, i love the atonement, and more than anything, I love my family :)

I LOVE MY FAMILY

AND I LOVE THAT I'M GOING TO HAVE A SISTER

We've been visiting and talking with *Fredo a whole bunch and stuff and he went to church and to a baptismal service and is just so excited to get baptized and he quit smoking and is living all the commandments and is just so excited and so well,

we're gonna have a baptism this sunday! (si Dios quiere) [God willing]

Also an investigator of the other sisters of our ward got baptized this last sunday! and they have another one this next sunday! WE'RE BAPTIZING ALL THE PEOPLE

and we're going to have a tour of the temple with *Fredo on friday also with another recent convert in our ward and just EVERYTHING IS SO COOL AND WE HAVE BEEN RUNNING AND WORKING SO HARD EVERY DAY AND MEJORANDO [GETTING BETTER] AND JUST EVERYTHING I JUST LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY

we're teaching a lot of haitians and some of them we have to do it in very slow spanish and also acting, but some of them speak english so we do it in very slow english because i do not know how to teach the gospel in english

i do not remember the english

i know that i'm writing all this in english, but if you havent noticed, my grammar has gone down the drain and it's even harder to talk about the gospel in english because i've only ever taught the message of the restoration in spanish

i couldnt even remember the word the other day

i have to translate from spanish to english in my brain

we also had intercambios this week so i went and worked with Hermana Duffy in Independencia and my companion stayed in Vivaceta with Hermana Henry.

there are so many things that i wish i could explain about chile that are so wonderful and so amazing and so chile but i dont know which things to say or what to say or anything just know that CHILE IS THE BEST EVER

he's not crying, he's just got a little bit of the TRUTH in his eyes

the title refers to one of our investigators that actually is homeless but hangs out in our sector and i always saw him so finally i decided to talk to him and now every time we pass by he asks us to read the Book of Mormon with him

he even bought a magnifying glass to read it because he is a bit blind but also doesnt have money to buy glasses

but anyway

i forgot to mention also that the other day we had chicken liver soup with our lunch

*to the tune of the chicken pot pie song* chicken liver, chicken liver, chicken liver soup 

i do not like chicken liver i have discovered

but hey, i'm still alive so no complaints

ALSO THE BISHOP´S WIFE IS SO LOVELY SHE MADE US A DESSERT YESTERDAY AND BROUGHT IT TO OUR APARTMENT BUILDING BEFORE WE WENT TO BED I LOVE THE BISHOP AND HIS WIFE SO MUHUUHUUHUUHUUUUUUUCH

also we had our zone conference this week

WOOOOOOOOOOOO LOVE ZONE CONFERENCE SO MUCH

and it was all about health and i was asked to participate in a presentation

we talked about the differences between a cold and the flu and a cough and stuff and i had to ACT OUT all the symptoms really exaggerated (is there such a thing as a double g in english? i do not remember i do NOT REMEMBER) and it was so wonderful

what else did we do

well, we didnt see *Fredo for the whole week, BUT HE SHOWED UP AT CHURCH BECAUSE WE LEFT HIM A NOTE AND HE LOVES IT ALL AND I AM VERY EXCITED TO KEEP TEACHING HIM AND EVERYTHING IT'S ALL SO GREAT HE REALLY IS PROGRESSING AND EVERYTHING WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO THE CHURCH REALLY IS REALLY TRUE AND NOW HE GETS IT TOOOOOOOOOOOOO

also we were teaching an abuelita the other day and she was telling us that she doesnt go to church because she is cold sometimes and because she has strange aches and pains and then suddenly stood up and FLIPPED HER BIG OLD COMFY CHAIR ALL THE WAY OVER (i'm sure there was a reason but i dont remember what it was) and we ceased to believe her silly stories

also i was introduced to yoghurt de pajaritos  

i dont know what it means  [literally translated it means "yogurt birds."]
